The problem is the iTunes Store sometimes groups works that aren't sequentially numbered, and it might even group tracks on different discs so the track order isn't reliable. Will get the first track and 'document.querySelector('acklist-table').querySelectorAll('tr.song.music').length' will get the track count. The article is here:ĭocument.querySelector('acklist-table').querySelectorAll('tr.song.music').getAttribute('preview-title')ĭocument.querySelector('acklist-table').querySelectorAll('tr.song.music').getAttribute('preview-artist') The thing is, *you* have to write it since the script doesn't know the difference between tracks only *you* know which track is which and the order of info-to-track. Years ago I wrote how to take a list of track info from a text file and add it to iTunes tracks. What you propose is easier dreamed than done: 1) how to get the info and 2) how to match it up with tracks in your iTunes library? ![]() The Store is impervious to AppleScript an has been for a number of years now. I only figured out that this seems possible and haven't started any script writing yet. All the info is in the web page, and all we'd need is some script that takes that info, and adds it to selected tracks in iTunes. ![]() For instance, I'm trying to tag a 300+ track classical box set the tags in the iTunes store are perfect (all other sources bad) but I can't find it in browse mode.Īs far as I can tell, the only way going forward might be to extract the info from an Store web link. In the old old days, search even returned results in a list you could drag and drop.īut what now? I resorted to installing an old version of OS X in a VM so I could still do this, but then many albums aren't findable in browse mode. In the old days, you could find an album in browse mode (or perhaps power search), find the tracks, drag it to a playlist, and then use an AppleScript to copy metadata between tracks, like this: There used to be a way to get metadata from albums in the iTunes Store.
